Five Pointers for Leaving Laundry for Pickup
Is it odd to leave your laundry outside? It isn't! It's fairly customary to leave your laundry outside for pickup. Here are some useful pointers.
Are you unsure whether to leave your laundry outside for pickup?
Be not! But we constantly hear it. You don't have to be home when your scheduled pickup and delivery take place. To be honest, most people would rather simply leave their items out for our drivers. Therefore, we discussed some tips with our delivery drivers! Our drivers travel routes similar to those of FedEx or UPS. All around the city, they have complete routes. Consequently, we are unable to provide customized delivery schedules.
Nonetheless, we advise you to provide thorough pickup or delivery notes in your account. We are pleased to make this easier for you by picking up or delivering to a specified location. And the majority of people manage deliveries and absentee pickups in this manner.
Tip #1: Keep it Simple & Consistent
Complicated situations lead to miscommunication. All of our drivers are W2 full-time workers who follow their routes every day. Our drivers become accustomed to your pickups and deliveries, much like your mailman and UPS driver.
You'll get better, more reliable outcomes if you stick to the same laundry location from order to order rather than switching it up every week.
Rather Than:
"My neighbor drops off my clothes at 1234 Fake St. Unit B on Fridays, but on Thursdays, they deliver to my front door because she leaves early for yoga class." I'll be home if you pick me up before 11 a.m., but if it's after that time and they're not gone to lunch, you may pick up my laundry from the leasing office.
Try:
"I'll be leaving my clothes at the rear door for delivery and collection. The covered back door is located immediately up the steps after entering through the side gate.
Tip #2: Pick a Covered and Hidden Location
If you’re worried about your clothes, you’re only human. We care about your clothes just as much as you. And, we would hate to see anything happen to them.
Unfortunately, porch theft is a thing. And, while it’s only happened a few times in almost 10 years, you may want to make an effort to be a little discrete with your designated pickup and delivery notes.
If at all possible, choosing a covered spot will help prevent rain or sun from causing any headaches. What good are clean clothes if they’re soaking wet? Our drivers do their best to find cover for your bags on rainy days. Help us out by detailing this in your address notes. It’s important because Helprite Laundry is only responsible for orders while in our care, so it’s best to add notes for a covered area to ensure orders are protected against any unexpected weather.

															Tip #3: Leave a Note
Like, a real note! While we always keep your pickup and delivery notes as updated as possible in our system, a hand-written note helps our drivers find your where your laundry is.
Try:
Leaving a note at the front door when you leave the house. You can also do this in the app or with our customer support team. The note can say:
“Hi, Helprite! Love the laundry service! I moved the bags to the back door this time since it is raining outside. Please use my gate code on file to get access to the backyard.”
Tip #4: Keep it Clean!
While it may not seem important when we are picking up your laundry, it is really important when we are delivering your clean laundry. You can help us ensure that your laundry is delivered as clean as possible by sweeping or cleaning the area where it will be delivered.
Try:
Before you put your laundry bag out, sweep the porch. This greatly improves the enjoyment of the laundry delivery process!
Tip #5: Use the Door Hanger
You got a door hanger with your first dry cleaning delivery. You are free to keep this. We need your assistance after you receive your door hanger! The delivery person can securely hang your clothes with this door hanger, which glides over your door. Like a Christmas wreath hanger, actually.
When you leave your laundry outside for us to pick up, we advise you to hang your door hanger. That way, we won't have to drape your clothes over a chair or hang them on the door handle when we deliver your laundry. Delivery workers try their best to deliver the hanging clothes with as few wrinkles as possible if there isn't a door hanger.
Try:
When you put your clothing out for pickup, hang your door hanger. In this manner, we will have a hygienic and secure location to hang your clothes when we deliver.
